Early Essentials is an emergency service which relieves the needs of our local communities’ most vulnerable pregnant women who are unable to provide for their babies directly after birth. They do this by providing starter packs containing the essential items for both Mum and baby, packed as a gift in a Moses basket.
The Moses baskets contain everything a new mum would need for herself and baby post birth.
There is an empty Moses basket in the Brockbank Centre porch (collection point), and we would love it if our wonderful customers and friends would consider contributing items and leaving them in the Moses basket for collection. This really is a valuable and essential service.
The following items are required: clothing for the first 3 months, nappies, wipes, baby toiletries, toiletries for mum, breast pads, sanitary items, blankets, towels, muslins, toys/books, treats for mum.
